DETECTIVES investigating a stabbing in a Worcester alleyway are focusing their attention on a man seen acting aggressively.
A knife, which police believe was used in the attack on the 22-year-old victim, has now been found.
The man suffered serious injuries after a fight near Tramps nightclub in the city's Angel Place in the early hours of Christmas Eve.
He spent Christmas Day in intensive care with a stomach wound and is now recovering at his Pershore home.
Worcester police have studied CCTV footage and have noted a number of incidents which occurred in The Cross leading up to the stabbing.
"Response from the public has been good," said DC Pete Morgan. "Our investigations are now focusing on a man acting aggressively in the area of The Cross between 2.30am and 3am.
"I'm particularly interested in talking to anyone who may have witnessed a man behaving aggressively."
A man was arrested in connection with the stabbing and charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.
He appeared before Worcester magistrates on Boxing Day and was granted conditional bail. Anyone with information should call 01905 723888.
