SPEEDING traffic, poor visibility and lack of footpaths makes access to Upton-upon-Severn hazardous for residents of West Bank.
They have asked the Town Council to help them get the 40mph speed limit on the A4104, extended beyond the entrance to the private estate.
Six residents expressed concern about their access to the main road, just beyond the de-restriction sign.
Another mentioned the danger to pedestrians caused by the narrowness of the road and lack of grass verges.
Footpaths officer Simon Wilkinson agreed there was a strong case for making the verge wider on one side for pedestrians. It was agreed to hold a site meeting with highways officers to look at safety measures.
