A SWIMMING gala at Malvern Splash brought out the very best in all the children who took part.
For the first time, the Splash held a gala for the children in its Aquarius swimming scheme and organised races and competitions for 250 children aged from four upwards.
General manager Graeme Maclennan said they randomly selected 250 children out of the 2,000 members of the swimming club to take part in the gala.
"We had a fantastic night and we've had really positive feedback from all the children," he said.
"I think the gala provides the children with an opportunity to demonstrate to parents some of the things they've learnt.
"When they're in a situation where there's a bit of competition it brings out the very best in the children." The gala also raised £176 for the charity ChildLine.
