NEW Year revellers were today being advised to keep a weather eye out as Worcestershire's big freeze continues.
Temperatures in Worcester are expected to rise tonight - but only to minus 8C, according to Evening News weatherman Paul Damari.
"We're going to see freezing fog tonight with visibility down to 100 yards in parts," he warned.
"Atlantic air is overriding the polar chill, but rain will fall tomorrow, which will freeze.
"New Year partygoers should be very careful if they intend to travel."
Temperatures plummeted last night, with Malvern recording minus 11C.
The sun was expected to come out for much of the country today but the Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Police across the country have warned motorists not to make non-essential journeys, while the AA has advised drivers to take blankets with them in case their vehicles break down or crash.
And the outlook seems bleak for Worcestershire residents who were affected by floods in November.
The Environment Agency says melting snow may lead to the Severn bursting its banks once more.
It has urged people to call its Floodline, on 0845 988 1188, for the latest information.
