HUNDREDS of mourners are expected to turn out to the funeral of a gipsy grandmother, hailed as "one of the most popular gipsy queens," by her family.
Harriet 'Nay' Hall, of Hartlebury, near Kidderminster, died on Saturday, December 23 at 9.05pm, aged 73.
Her death came within three hours to the day of her husband Isaac's death in 1974.
She will be buried on Tuesday, January 2, at St Mary's Church in Hartlebury.
"My gran lived on the same farm in Hartlebury for 44 years," said her granddaughter Shirley Smith.
"She was very popular - we're expecting more than 250 people to come to the funeral and say goodbye."
Mourners will leave their caravans at 10.45am on Tuesday and walk a three quarter mile stretch to the church, following a horse and carriage carrying Mrs Hall to her final resting place.
"Gran will be buried in the same grave as her husband. She's had to live so long without him.
"She was a loving wife to him."
