AN attacker who indecently assaulted a 13-year-old girl as she walked through St John's in broad daylight was being hunted by police today.
He pounced on his terrified victim in Meco Alley at around 8.30am yesterday.
She was unable to describe her attacker except to say that he had dark hair.
"This was a very frightening experience for the young girl and, unfortunately, we have no description of her attacker," said Det Insp Dave Bartlett.
In another incident, a young woman was indecently assaulted by an Asian man outside St Paul's Hostel, in Tallow Hill, at around 10.15pm on Saturday, March 31.
Her attacker was described as being between 18 and 20 years old, 5ft 6in tall, of medium to plump build. He had dark brown eyes and bushy eyebrows that nearly met in the middle. He wearing a black woolly hat and a dark blue waterproof jacket and black jeans.
Police said the man had a large, fat nose which may have been injured.
