Redditch Exiles 39 Pershore 3rds 12
THE boys in pink turned in one of their better performances with a convincing win over experienced opposition.
The plaudits go to winger Wayne Darlo who ran in the last five tries of Redditch's seven.
Each of them was a classic, the straight spring to the line, beating the opposition on the outside, safe hands finishing off a passing move that would have graced any pitch, and a good old-fashioned hack and chase.
A cautious start saw the Exiles take their time to measure up the opposition, before hitting them with direct running.
Mark Cardy took the direct route, once the fancy handwork had been done, to score the first, and Nev Mason, always busy behind a dominant pack, picked up and scampered over for the second.
El Kemor Eithgan, one of two guest centres, converted one of these, the other being Jez Lejougleur who dazzled all with handling skills.
Pershore never gave up and in spells were the dominant side.
They scored two fine tries when Redditch took their mind off the game but when Exiles played their solid disciplined game then there was only going to be one winner.
