SCOUTS and Guides across Stourport are on the lookout for a nimble-fingered pianist to come to the rescue and ensure a musical goes ahead.
About 80 youngsters from 15 Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Brownies groups in the Stourport district movement are due to perform in the second Stourport Gang Show in eight years.
However, the curtain may come down on plans to produce This is not a Pantomime if director and producer Lauren Tunnicliffe cannot find a pianist for rehearsals and the three nights of performances.
Miss Tunnicliffe, venture Scout leader for Abberley and Witley, said: "We had the same problem last year when we needed a pianist but thankfully Richard Leadbetter of Kidderminster came forward to help us.
"However, we need to take the pressure off him and need another pianist as well.
"That is our main concern but any musicians are welcome to come along and it would be particularly nice to have a band or two taking part."
The pianist would work alongside Richard as well as rehearsals on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons from June to October.
Anyone who would like to help with the production, which is being staged at Stourport High School between October 25-27, can contact Miss Tunnicliffe on 01299 825103 in the evenings.
