I AM currently reeling from the punitive increases in the current council tax bill, and in particular, am incensed for having to pay for a non-existing 'policing' in this village!
Imagine therefore, my pleasure at reading in the Journal of the successful trip enjoyed by three police officers from the Warwickshire Police Force recently, returned from a pleasant trip to India to lecture the inhabitants of New Delhi on road safety!
Thus is indeed a worthwhile enterprise and I note one which is liable to be repeated in future! One can only hope the officers did not suffer too much from jet lag, and can anticipate a good long rest after their exertions.
I know that I for one will feel that this exercise was well merited and in the best interest of local taxpayers.
