HIGH-FLYING Brintons aim to bring silverware home on Saturday as they take their place in the Worcestershire Junior Cup final for the second time.

Kidderminster Harriers' Aggborough home will stage the clash with Worcester side County Sports from 3pm.

Brintons lost to Claines in the county final two years ago but have a proud record over County Sports who play in Midland Combination Division One.

It has been a great season for the Kidderminster club who lead Banks's Brewery League Division One South.

Chairman Terry Salters said: "We are second or third favourites but we have the points.

"It should be interesting on Saturday because County Sports are a good side and they will definitely be up for it.

"We beat them 4-0 at Aggborough in the Harriers Cup two years ago and have beaten them in the county cup in each of the last three seasons.

"But all of our team will be ready for this one and cup finals are strange games."

Brintons, who lead their division by 12 points after winning 2-1 at Sedgley on Saturday, have a few players cup-tied.

But Adam Baylis returns from a spell with Bromsgrove and the experienced Wayne Dobbins should also be involved.

Brintons will be happy with the local venue though Salters said: "We will take the game wherever it is and have a night out afterwards!

"There are five or six in the team who played in the last final and it won't unnerve us."

Unfortunately, the kick-off time could restrict spectators.

Salters added: "Most of the local players will be playing anyway so I expect it will be fairly quiet. It would have been better being a 7pm kick-off."
