RATS were crawling all over Eckington First School last week, but there was no need to call in an exterminator.
Children from the school were performing an adaptation of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, which involved every child in the production.
The children, who are aged from four to 10, performed the play several times and, according to school secretary Helen Chapman, it was very successful indeed.
She said: "You could tell how much the children enjoyed it, they're still singing the songs around the school now."
