IT wasn't exactly London's Burning, but two sixth formers put the town's fire brigade under the spotlight when it became the subject of a docu-soap.
The girls, Claire Stephens and Carrie Warren, both 18, from Evesham High School, devised and produced 15 minutes of a docu-soap as part of an A-level project. The film covered all aspects of work at the fire station in Merstow Green.
The video took two days to film but several weeks longer to plan and edit. It features life not only in the control and mess rooms, but also what happens when the fire fighters are called out.
"We were pleased with the final results and had great co-operation from the fire service and we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with the crew," said Claire. Station officer Steve Fellows said: "The girls worked really hard, I am sure their efforts will be rewarded."
