CHIPPING Norton's theatre, is planning to get the summer off to a hotstart with its new season.
It kicks off with Chipping Norton School's production of Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle on April 26 and takes in such diverse productions as Not the National Theatre's wickedly funny satire A Place at the Table, and Terry Johnson's Insignificance, presented by Wildcard Theatre Company (both next month).
Music lovers will not be disappointed either with a wealth of concerts.
There's Rosemary Ashe in her one-woman show, The Killer Soprano, rhythm and blues from King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys and classical delights from the Bochmann Ensemble and The Oxford Waits.
The silver screen is also covered with a range of films for all ages, including The Emperor's New Groove, Quills, Rugrats in Paris, Enemy at the Gates and Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
The Theatre's Gallery will have a range of exhibitions covering a broad spectrum of visual arts and Rupert Rowbotham the theatre's community and education officer has put together a variety of creative workshops linked with forthcoming productions.
