WORCESTER City manager John Barton is warning against over-confidence ahead of to-night's Worcestershire FA Senior Cup semi-final replay against Evesham United at St George's Lane (7.45).

City will be firm favourites to book a two-legged final against Moor Green, following last week's 2-2 draw at Common Road.

But Barton says the tie is far from over. "If the first game is anything to go by it will be another competitive encounter.

"It should be a good game -- it is a semi-final with a chance of getting some silverware so it has to be attractive."

Defenders Ian Cottrill and Paul Carty are ready to return to the City starting line-up after being on the bench for last week's 4-0 defeat at Weymouth.

Winger Mike Wyatt (knee) and defender Andy Bradley (back) remain sidelined with injuries, however.

Promotion

Evesham, who announced last week that they are not applying for promotion due to the amount of work needed to bring Common Road up to Dr Martens League Premier Division standard, could give young midfielder Michael Gallagher his first start with Andy Hodgetts and Stuart Payne cup-tied and Richard Clark and Phil Preedy struggling with injuries.

Boss Phil Mullen said: "Some people might say that we had our chance at home, but we have had some big games this season and our lads have responded well to them."
