NUMBER 8 GALLERY: An exhibition of contemporary work by John Hammersley.
FILM AT NUMBER 8: Pershore and District Film Society 'Stuart Little' (U), starring Michael J Fox. Stuart Little is an orphaned mouse who is adopted by a New York family. The family cat 'Snowbell' lets Stuart know in no uncertain terms that he is not welcome. Brilliant animation. Adults and children will love it. Members bring along your children or grandchildren. OPERATIC AND DRAMATIC SOCIETY: Are presenting 'Me and My Girl', on June 19-23, with old favourites like 'Leaning on a Lamppost', 'Lambeth Walk', 'The Sun Has Got His Hat On', plus many others of that era. The venue will be at The Swan Theatre, Worcester, and tickets are available from Blue in Broad Street, Pershore, Maxine's Bookshop, High Street and the Swan Theatre Booking Office 01905 27322.
CANINE TRAINING SOCIETY: As a safeguard against the spread of foot and mouth virus, that the classes, held at Norton and Littleworth Village Hall are suspended for. The classes will be continued as soon as possible when the dangers of spreading foot and mouth have been cleared.
ARTHRITIS RESEARCH CAMPAIGN: The Easter Fair which this year is being held at the Old School Room, Charlton, Pershore on April 14, will be open between 10am and noon. There will be the usual stalls which will include ARC goods, plants, cakes, bring and buy, tombola and raffle, plus some Easter surprises. CHORAL SOCIETY: Conductor, Andrew Wilson are presenting The Haydon Creation on May 19 in Pershore Abbey commencing at 7.30pm. Taking part will be Kathleen Fudge, soprano - Jason Darnell, tenor, with Simon Wilson singing base. CHURCHES TOGETHER IN PERSHORE: Unfortunately, due to foot and mouth crisis the Pilgrimage to the summit of Bredon Hill on Good Friday, has had to be cancelled. However the service will take place and everyone is welcome to join in, The Lent Project 2001, which benefits charity 'ACES' - Aid for the Children of El Salvador. Lent lunches are being held at the Baptist Church, tomorrow (Friday) at noon until 1.30pm (soup and roll). Everyone will be welcome.
AN EVENING IN CONCERT: With 'Country Company' being held at The Berkeley Arms, Evesham Road, Spetchley. The evening promises an enjoyable country and western night on April 27 from 7.30pm to 11.30pm. Refreshments will be available and a raffle will also be held. The proceeds of the evening are going towards No 8 Pershore Arts Centre.
