THE Fishery has been fortunate to be able to open during the current troubles.
Fish have responded well and catches have been consistent considering the varied weather.
A steady hatch of small black buzzers have led to consistent rises, while the bright sunshine has driven the fish down. Otherwise, small nymphs in the surface film have proved effective.
Tactics should remain the same and the weight average of 2 lbs should be maintained.

EXCELLENT sport can now be had on all Pools. Last Saturday saw a 60lb plus bag of carp, bream and roach fall to regular visitor Paul Barnard from peg 21 on the Bottom Pool.
The Top Pool is giving excellent sport all round with pellet, maggot, corn and meat all working. Big carp are now on the move so expect to loose a few! Best pegs 27 to 19.
