FOUR young girls from Alcester will be bringing a taste of India to Warwick at the weekend as they take part in an event at the Arts Centre.
Nileena Premchand, 13, who attends Alcester Grammar School, her eight-year old twin sisters Melissa and Monisha who attend St Mary's School in Studley and five-year-old friend Leela Vathenen who attends Haselor School will be performing a variety of Indian dances at the event on Saturday.
They will be displaying a range of Southern Indian classical dancing called Bharatanatyam as well as a range of Indian folk dances of Bengal and Punjab.
The girls have attended an Indian dance class in Coventry for about a year and a half.
The sisters' mum Shyla Premchand said: "We are looking forward to watching the girls perform. This will be their first proper Indian dance performance and they have all been working extremely hard."
