Herefordshire Council has issued new instructions concerning where people can walk in the Ledbury area.
Footpaths officer Mike Woodbridge said walking is now allowed on Herefordshire Council footpaths within the area bordered by the viaduct to the north and the bypass to the west and the south of the town. The town trail is open but not the picnic area.
Dog Hill Wood and Green Lane are owned by the town council and will remain closed until councillors decide otherwise. Forest Enterprise is also keeping Frith Wood and Conigree Wood closed.
Ledbury's mayor Clive Jupp has decided that the annual Civic Walk on May 6 should still go ahead but not on any paths near to livestock. Mr Woodbridge said that the Town Trail could be suitable.
