DETECTIVES hunting the attacker who subjected a schoolgirl to a terrifying daytime ordeal in a Worcester alleyway have released details of a man who could hold vital information.
The 13-year-old girl was pounced on by the attacker as she walked along Meco Alley, in St John's, at around 8.30am on Wednesday.
Det Insp Dave Bartlett, of Worcester police, said a check in the alley yesterday had resulted in a description of a man who was seen acting suspiciously.
"If you have seen this man or recognise him from the description, please contact Worcester Police on 01905 723888 or anonymously on Crimestoppers on 0800 555111," he said.
The man is described as white, in his late 30s or early 40s, 5ft 10in but possibly taller and of stocky build. He was said to have a chubby clean-shaven face, swept back dark brown or black hair, and was wearing a plain black or navy jacket which went past his waist and dark trousers which were not jeans.
