Anchor Arrow 1, Malvern Radar 1
AN entertaining game at Diglis in near perfect conditions saw the points shared. Both teams had chances to win in the final minutes but on the whole, a draw was about right.
Anchor started well and Mark Suthard set up Lee Seldon who let fly with a rocket shot from the edge of the box. Fortunately it was straight at keeper Chris Ball, who certainly knew about it as the ball cannoned into his chest and was then cleared away.
The deadlock was broken in the 65th minute when Seldon and Dave Burston linked well down the left with the latter just managing to poke the ball under the advancing Ball in Radar's goal.
Burston then almost added his second but was foiled firstly by Steve Harness and then by Gary Harman who both reacted well to clear off the goal line.
Radar equalised in the 73rd minute when an excellent ball from Harman fell to Niall Henderson who saw his first effort blocked by Faulkner but he made no mistake with the follow up. Ben Ash then shot over the bar from 10 yards with just the keeper to beat.
This Sunday Radar are away to Talbot Head, meet RSRE Club 9.30.
The Saturday side return to action away to Droitwich Spa, meet New Inn 1.45 and are away to Archdales Reserves next Tuesday.
