LONGDON Church-women's Fellowship met on Wednesday, March 28, and although attendance was down due to illness and foot and mouth precautions, those who were able to come were treated to a sympathetic and beautiful personal interpretation of the Creation by Mrs Sally Harvey.

Her slides, illustrating different elements in the creation linked to the seven days of the biblical account of the Creation, were beautiful, often dramatic and closely related to her theme.

Many were taken in her own garden or in South Worcestershire which added to the interest, and the background music was well chosen. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 25, when we will be hearing about the work of the Wishbone Trust.

There will be a service of Holy Comm-union on Sunday, April 8, at St Mary's Church at 8am.

Choir practice takes place at St Mary's on Monday, April 9, at 6.45pm.

On Maundy Thursday, April 12, a Deanery Service of Holy Communion will be held at Upton Parish Church at 7.30pm.

On Good Friday there will be an activity morning at the vicarage at 10am-noon. At 1-3pm, a Good Friday Meditation Service will be held in St Mary's Church.

On Easter Sunday a service of Holy Communion will be held in St Mary's Church at 11.15am. This service will be led by Mr Geoffrey Moore, our benefice lay reader.
