WITH the Malvern Hills District Tag-Rugby Mini Leagues for primary schools in full swing, the Malvern RFC coaching staff have turned their attention to the development of rugby for girls at the four principle High Schools in the district.
Hanley Castle High School was the first state-comprehensive to take up the challenge and after one lunchtime coaching session, nineteen Year 7 students signed-up to take part in tag-rugby sessions that will run at the school until the end of June.

The new scheme could not come at a better time for Amanda Hucker who is building a senior women's rugby squad to take part in the DERA 7's competition at Farnborough in May and a more permanent senior women's squad to take up fixtures during the 2001-2002 season.
