PLANS for the rebuilding of Upton's Hill centre went out to tender last Friday.
Architect Nick Purchase, of Holyer Purchase Design, Bushley, said everything was still on schedule for work to begin in May, provided that the estimates are within budget.
"We will have a meeting in about four weeks' time to consider them," he said.
The Hill Centre will remain open until the end of the Easter holidays and, if everything goes according to plan, should be open again by this time next year.
By then it should have a refurbished sports hall, with new meeting rooms, changing rooms and offices.
