MANKIND'S most primitive impulses will be on show as one of the county's most popular theatres performs the Greek classic Medea.
Foursight Theatre, which produced the highly successful Six Dead Queens and an Inflatable Henry, is to tell the tale of revenge and pain at Hereford's Courtyard Theatre on Saturday, April 28.
Medea is about a mother who is driven to the edge and kills both her sons, said Naomi Cooke, the company's artistic director.
Even though it was written around the 3rd Century its subject matter resonates through the ages. How many times have we sought to understand what motivates parents to harm their children?"
The play follows Foursight's tradition of using powerful and passionate plays to look at the lives of some of history's most famous women in an uncompromising and physical way.
Tickets to the play, which starts at 7.30pm, are available on 01432 359252 and cost £7.50 or £6 with concessions.
