I HAVE never been sold on the idea of European Union, not even in the days when it was termed a Common Market and misrepresented to us as a mere trading arrangement.

To my mind, it was merely superimposing a new layer of administration on top of an already over-laden bureaucracy.

However, one must be realistic and recognise that we are now firmly under European domination.

Perhaps we should now be considering abolishing that layer at Westminster which got us into this position.
