FRANCIS Lankester (You Say, March 31) is, as usual, very selective in his observations.
He complains that the Labour Government has "done nothing" to tackle the "yob culture".
He then goes on to complain when Labour tries to keep these yobs in school, rather than expelling them so they can roam the streets!
I think that magistrates could sometimes be more realistic when sentencing young criminals. However, I am delighted that our Labour Government gave Worcester £600,000 for CCTV cameras to help catch them.
Labour will also ensure that yobs are brought before courts more quickly.
During 18 years of Tory government, precious little was done to reduce youth crime - and youth unemployment was much higher, so many more yobs were on the streets
Now, at last, things are beginning to improve.
COUN PAUL DENHAM,
Worcester.
