A SHOPLIFTER'S haul from an hour in the Co-op supermarket at Stourport, represented by a trolley piled high with groceries, amounted to £236, mag-istrates heard.

A manager who saw her leave without pay-ing called police and she was arrested out-side.

She spent a night in a cell, the Kidderminster court was told.

First offender Marie Jones, 25, of Areley Common, Stourport, admitted the theft and was fined £55, with £30 costs.

She had been under pressure to steal to pay off a debt, said her so-licitor, John Rogers.

She had expected to be caught.
