A TEENAGER caught with 41 ecstasy tablets at a Worcester nightclub has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years' detention.
Darren George aroused the suspicions of a security officer in Tramps and was told he was going to be searched.
He handed over the tablets and admitted selling more ecstasy in a wine bar, said Nigel Reader, prosecuting.
When police searched the 18-year-old's home in Wyld's Lane, Worcester, they discovered four ecstasy pills on a chest of drawers and another 129 inside, along with some fragments.
The total haul taken from George was 182 tablets with a street value of up to £1,274.
He told police he was buying 50 at a time for £2.50 each and expected to sell them at £5 each.
He had sold 39 the previous week.
George, who was of previous good character, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs with intent to supply.
Graham Henson, defending, said he was "up front" about the drugs and didn't try and hide anything from police.
Judge Michael Mott said ecstasy was a potential killer and a heavy sentence had to follow.
