ROBERT McCracken's trainer, Paddy Lynch, has hit out at Howard Eastman after he refused to put his British and Commonwealth titles on the line tonight.

Worcester-based McCracken had been looking forward to the chance to become a triple champion at the Wembley.

But the duo will now meet for just the vacant European title after Eastman chose at the 11th hour to take his titles out of the equation.

Eastman, who only made the weight for the fight at the second attempt after initially tipping the scales one and a half pounds over the middleweight limit, does not think he is being paid enough to defend his two titles.

Lynch said: "I think that Howard Eastman is looking for a safety net as he is not feeling as confident as he was last week. He has now decided that he is not being paid enough.

"It is more an act of spite that anything else. He was very unprofessional arriving late for the weigh-in and then being over the weight. He came back an hour and 20 minutes later a pound under the weight.

"Robert is very determined. He has trained brilliantly and we are looking forward to a great fight."
