HEREFORD United's failure to reach the FA Umbro Trophy final could have cost them £100,000.
That's the amount Director of Football Graham Turner believes the cash-strapped Bulls could have made from a trip to Villa Park, through their share of gate and television money.
But he's urging his players to forget about their disastrous 4-1 semi-final defeat against Forest Green on Saturday and concentrate on tonight's Nationwide Conference game at Dover Athletic (7.45).
He said: "It was a crushing blow for us, but we've done our crying over the weekend and we have to get back to work now.
"We would probably have earned £100,000 if we'd got to the final, but we are out, we have had a good run and we had no complaints on the day. We need to start putting our game right now.
"It is a matter of lifting spirits and in adversity, this sorts the men out from the boys. They are judged as players every Saturday, now they have to be judged as men."
Turner said of Saturday's game: "We couldn't score. I have watched the video of the first-half and they went 2-0 up with their first two attacks, and we had eight to 10 strikes and couldn't score. That was down to not hitting the target, some excellent goalkeeping and some bad luck."
Hereford are looking to bounce back against a Dover side they've beaten twice this season -- once in the Conference and once in the Trophy.
Midfielder Ian Rodgerson remains suspended while winger Jimmy Quiggin is doubtful with a groin strain. Defender James Wall has departed to play in America.
