A WORCESTER woman is celebrating after receiving her Wings as a British Airways cabin crew member.
Victoria Ewins was one of 12 members from course B7 to take part in an official passing out ceremony at Birmingham International Airport yesterday.
They were presented with their Wings, having successfully completed their probationary period.
During that time the trainees worked under supervision as operating cabin crew on board the airline's fleet of Airbus A319s based at Birmingham.
Cabin services manager Katie Beever, who also comes from Worcester and who is in charge of all BA cabin crew at Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow, said she was proud of the team.
"Not everyone meets our high standards," she said. "The team has worked very hard over the last six months."
The recruits, all of whom joined the airline in June last year, can now wear the Wings symbol on their uniform, identifying them as qualified members of cabin crew staff.
British Airways Regional, Birmingham, employs around 250 cabin crew in Birmingham.
New recruits undertake five weeks of classroom and cabin training before going to work as operating cabin crew.
They then have to complete a minimum of six months practical training before receiving their Wings.
