DROITWICH Spa Cricket Club hope to carry its indoor form into the sunshine when the new season gets underway on April 21.
After winning the Worcester Indoor Premier League for the second season in succession and as reigning county champions, Spa's A team go forward to the Worcestershire finals at Evesham just two days after the season proper strarts.
Droitwich get their Worcester County League Premier Division season underway against Old Elizabethans and are confident their indoor league exploits, which saw them reach the Midlands final of the national competition, will stand them in good stead.
The club once again field three senior teams on both Saturdays and Sundays, when Spa will be battling it out in the Premier Division of the V-Sports League.
Senior nets take place at St Peter's Field on Tuesday nights. Anyone interested should contact club captain Paul Bryan on (01905) 775711.
The club is keen to bolster the ranks of its under 15 and 16 teams with an influx of new blood. Droitwich also fields under-11 and under 13 teams, who practice on Saturday mornings, the first session getting underway at 9.30am on April 28.
