A PENSIONER from Droitwich says a new fuse box fitted at his bungalow is out of reach.
Leslie Goodman, of Steynors Close, recently had his home updated by Spa Housing Association.
The 84-year-old said a new fuse box has been placed near the ceiling and he cannot reach it unless he stands on a chair.
The retired chauffeur, who has arthritis and uses a walking frame, said: "It's very worrying because one day I may need to access the trip switch but will not be able to reach it.
"I would not feel safe climbing onto a stool or ladders."
An association spokeswoman said: "The new fuse box has been installed in virtually the same position as the old consumer unit.
"The new installation is larger and the top section of the box is nearer the ceiling.
"The meter tails that provide the mains electrical supply do not accommodate repositioning of the consumer unit unless they are replaced or altered by Midlands Electricity.
"One of our staff will visit Mr Goodman this week."
