Bromsgrove Town 1
Droitwich Red Lion 2
LMS Shield semi-final
DROITWICH Red Lion are through to the final of the LMS Shield after a hard fought victory over Bromsgrove Town.
Dean Tudge was recalled to the Lion defence and he looked likely to break the deadlock early on, sending three powerful headers just wide.
Bowman and Morse also went close before Steve Barratt finally headed them in front from Victor Chang's pin-point cross.
In a scrappy second half, a couple of superb reflex saves from Lion 'keeper Dean Pinner kept them in front as Bromsgrove pressed for an equaliser. Ten minutes from time Town got it when Scott Gaffney headed them level.
But once again, Lion showed great character and spirit and with minutes remaining Wayne Morse curled in a superb winner to spark off the celebrations in the Lion camp.
