DROITWICH Sparklers U10s 15 Bromsgrove A U10s 0. In warm conditions, Bromsgrove started strongly and turned up the heat, putting Droitwich under early pressure. The Sparklers soaked up the pressure and midway through the first half started to turn things around. With Droitwich growing in confidence, it wasn't long before Bobbie Scott-Walker converted pressure into points with the first try, shortly followed by another from Nick Houlston, putting Bromsgrove on the back foot for the rest of the game. In the second half, Scott-Walker added another to finish off the scoring in this hard fought game. Charles Jackson and Matthew Simkiss both went close in the second half and Droitwich's forwards played extremely well.

Droitwich Rockets U10s 10 Bromsgrove B U10s 30. Droitwich got off to a strong start but didn't convert early pressure into points. Only after going two down, they started to fight back and scored through MoM Phillip Hurlston, who is growing in confidence in each game at scrum-half. Droitwich's tackling was strong with Will Baillon, Oliver Jeynes and Lloyd Foulkes all making crucial tackles. Dan Cerrone had a good game as hooker. In the last five minutes, Droitwich came back strongly with Jack Pomroy running the ball well. Droitwich's last score came through Nick Houlston just ahead of the final whistle. Droitwich paid the price for not watching their wings.

Droitwich Tigers U11s 17 Bromsgrove U11s 0. This was a sturdy game not for the faint hearted, with both sides fighting hard for victory. As the game went on, the ball was played wider and Sean Dickinson scored two tries and Ryan Pring sold a lovely dummy to score. Nathan Dudley converted one of these. MoM was Adam Banner.

Droitwich Wasps U11s 7 Bromsgrove U11s 12. Playing with an inexperienced pack, the Wasps conceded a try early in the game but fought back to make a battle of it. Both teams displayed excellent tackling and defensive play and Bromsgrove held out. Marc Wiseman went in for a try which he converted himself. Sam Bower was unlucky to finish a great run by touching down past the dead-ball line. An excellent first full appearances from Tom Innett and Tom Hughes.

Droitwich U12s 0 Bromsgrove U12s 28. This will not be remembered as one of the lads' better games. The Droitwich team did not get going, did not run with the ball and could not stop the rather bigger Bromsgrove team. Bromsgrove scored four times.

Droitwich U12s 28 Bromsgrove U12s 19. The second game with a different squad proved to be a big transformation. Tom Rouse made some excellent runs but got his nose squashed as a reward. Bromsgrove scored an early try but failed to convert and were unable to hold onto the lead or find a way to stop Stephan Bujinsters who sprinted off to equalise, with Will Tait's conversion taking the lead. Good kicking by Ashley Haslam allowed the Droitwich lads to run at the ball and this forced a number of Bromsgrove errors. Sam Gorman powered through to a second try. This inspired Bujinsters who took off to score again. Bromsgrove brought back on one of their bigger players who pulled one back but Gorman scored again. Bromsgrove managed another try but never got equal by the final whistle. A much better performance from the lads and especially Gorman with his two tries. Tait kicked the conversions.

Droitwich U7s 15 Camphill U7s 20. Droitwich were caught napping by a strong Camphill team and were soon two tries down, until Matt Wilkinson and MoM Josh Skinner combined and some super handling skills saw Skinner in for a try. Robert Colemeadow added the next after a break by James Squire and Tom Ryder. Josh Feek and Dan Mara tackled well. Skinner added a second try following good play by Jono Moran.

Droitwich U7s 20 Camphill U7s 15. Captain Jono Moran tackled well and Ryan Humphries and player of the match Sophie Feek defended well. Dan Mara scored three tries and Robert Colemeadow added the fourth. Josh Feek and Andrew Bishop both played well.

Droitwich U8s 10 Camphill U8s 25. Tries were scored by James Griffiths and Sam Grove. There was excellent tackling by Michael Anderson and MoM Chris May.

Droitwich U8s 25 Camphill U8s 15. Droitwich proved that they have the ability to compete and Jack Scott-Walker showed skill and determination by scoring four tries. Sam Grove added the fifth. Scott Bridgewater and Josh Grainger defended well while Luke Owen and Sean Hughes were unlucky not to score.

Droitwich Sparklers U10s 5 Camphill A U10s 30. The Spa-rklers lost their first game this season to a well drilled side. In muddy conditions the Spa-rklers found it hard to unlock Camphill's solid defence. Camphill took their chances well, using their size advantage in open play. The Droitwich pack dominated the scrum and lineout and the Spa team were recycling the ball at the breakdown better than their opponents. Both teams were hitting hard in their tackles with neither side giving an inch. MoM Bobbie Scott-Walker at scrum-half took on everyone and Luke Price was at his best, tackling to the highest standard. A superb run by Chris Reece gave Droitwich their only try of the game after he split Camphill's defence.

Droitwich Rockets U10s 5 Camphill A U10s 20. The Rockets played some excellent rugby throughout. Trying to avenge their team mates' earlier defeat, they contained Camphill's attacks well in the first half while giving their opponents a lot to think about with their attacking play. Tom Barker scored an excellent try by running two-thirds of the pitch and picking his way through several tackles to bring the scores level just before half time. This was to be Droitwich's only score. Sean Hooper put in some surging runs at centre, breaking through with power on numerous occasions only to be pulled up short of the line. MoM captain Oliver Jeynes led by example by tackling players twice his size. With Lloyd Foulkes playing an excellent game on the wing, the Rockets looked as if they could get back into the game but Camphill took their chances.

l West Mids Tournament: Droitwich U12s 0 Old Silhillians U12s 15. The Droitwich team are notoriously slow starters and so the short game format did not favour them. Old Sils made more of their chances and Spa didn't get going. This, coupled with some handling errors, allowed Old Sils to dominate.

Droitwich U12s 0 Worcester U12s 15. Droitwich defended well and there was no score at half time. In the second half, Worcester managed to get the upper hand and more handling errors cost Droitwich points and the game.

Droitwich U12s 20 Camp Hill U12s 0. Droitwich started better and were more committed. Richard Reece opened the scoring with a powerful run. This was followed by a great sprint from Stephan Bujinsters. Both Sam Cooper and Tom Rouse appeared to ground the ball in a messy ruck at the Camphill line but neither try was given. Iain Young then ran a third one in with Bujinsters finishing the game with a fourth. The team were playing much better and Tom Yeldham made some good driving runs.
