FURTHER talks on road safety are set to take place after plans to turn a disused service station at Stoke Heath into flats were put on hold.
At Monday's meeting of Bromsgrove District Cou-ncil's planning committee, members expressed their concerns about ten units being created at the site, in Worcester Road.
Last year the same company, Morcroft Property Developments Ltd, submitted plans for 12 units at the former Stoke Turn service station but they were refused.
At the meeting Cllr John Tidmarsh (Con, Stoke Prior) said the site was on a very dangerous junction.
Cllr Stephen Peters (Con, South Wythall) added he was concerned the gaps between the units would be used as a shortcut and by would-be criminals.
Cllr David McGrath (Lab, Beacon) suggested a mini roundabout at the junction of Worcester and Hanbury roads would be helpful.
Officers agreed to talk to developers about installing tra-ffic calming measures. A scheme also submitted by Morcroft to build offices on the same plot was turned down at Monday's meeting.
