I WOULD like to echo the letter about Morton Stanley Park.

Of course, the council does not chase the many dog owners in public areas.

They only chase the occasional home owner where evidence is easy to collect.

I have referred dog messes to the council on many occasions over the years and it has been very ineffectual at any action whatsoever.

I think the phrase is "toothless".

Unless you are personally prepared to take all the necessary legal steps yourself, forget any backing from the council.
