KICKBOXING king John Wyatt has another passport to a big K1 earner after an invitation to compete at the Italian championships in Milan.
Kidderminster's Wyatt will be among eight competitors on Saturday, April 21, vying to become champion by winning three gruelling fights in a night.
The finalists qualify for a grand K1 competition in Australia or Japan.
K1 is a popular "anything goes" challenge that incorporates a range of martial arts.
Wyatt, 32, who competed in the English version last year, revealed: "I had a phone call to say someone from the Czech Republic had pulled out through injury in Italy.
"If I don't win, I at least want to get to the final for a chance of going to Tokyo. But three fights in one night is tough.
"I know there's one Italian guy who's a big lad and a hot favourite. And the Italian crowd will be up for him.
"I will have to go flat-out to stop them. Being an outsider fighting in Italy, if it goes the distance I don't know how it's going to go with the judges."
