A REDDITCH man had to be airlifted to the Alexandra Hospital with serious leg injuries after the bus he was driving was in a head-on collision with another bus in South Warwickshire.
The accident happened just after 9am last Wednesday on the Wellesbourne Road, between Wellesbourne and Moreton Morrell.
The 37-year-old Redditch man was driving a Bova single-decker bus when it was in collision with a Mann single-decker bus being driven by a 55-year-old man from Stretton under Fosse.
Both men had to be released from their vehicles by fire crews and were then airlifted to hospital.
They both suffered severe leg injuries, which the police have said are not thought to be life-threatening.
Five students travelling in the two buses received bruises but were not seriously hurt.
