BEAUTIFUL bonnets were bursting out all over in the run-up to Easter.
At Noah's Ark Nursery, Matchborough, about 40 youngsters aged two to school age paraded all day on Thursday, the last day of term, in their stylish home-made bonnets.
All the pupils at Tardebigge First School entered an Easter bonnet competition on Friday, with chocolate eggs going to the winners. They also went to Tardebigge Church for a service.
NEW College nursery children held their bonnet competition on Thursday.
About 20 two to four year olds made their own bonnets, with the best winning Easter eggs.
And a range of fun events were on offer at Alcester Town Hall on Saturday when an Easter fair was held to raise money for a town nursery group.
Children, parents and staff from Alcester Nursery School, which meets at the town hall, held the fair to raise money to buy new play equipment.
Almost £1,000 was taken and activities included face painting, Easter bonnet and painted egg competitions.
There was also a bouncy castle, nearly new and book stalls, three tombolas, a raffle and a host of games.
