OVER the past weeks we have had to close our windows due to the awful stench of burning carcasses carried over our area of Spennells by prevailing winds.
Dark clouds have billowed over our houses and the smell has been made worse as the rain brought particles of unhealthy material down on us.
Our window sills have to be cleaned almost daily.
We all feel that this is exactly what will happen if the incinerator plan goes ahead.
We do not want it on our doorstep.
It should be out in the rural area - better still, the council should get on with recycling to the degree they do in Canada and the US.
Maximum pressure from our MP and other parties may help to redeem his stance on our hospital.
