A PITCH invasion forced a Kidderminster Hospital Junior Cup semi-final in Cookley to be abandoned on Saturday.
Two players were sent off in the game between Kidderminster and District Football League Premier Division clubs Cookley Social and Timbertree.
An incident involving the pair - one from each side - led to a 10-man fracas, alleged violent conduct by a Timbertree official and finally spectators swarmed onto the pitch to remonstrate.
With the score at 0-0, the game was abandoned after 55 minutes and the match officials' reports will be considered by Worcestershire and Birmingham FAs.
Cookley secretary Paul Harvey said: "There was a tackle in the middle of the pitch and a bit of argy-bargy on the floor.
"Ten to 12 players got involved although there was no more than shoving and pushing."
Harvey alleged a visiting official got involved in the incident.
He added: "Then spectators went onto the pitch but they weren't fighting. People were remonstrating."
Netherton side Timbertree would not comment on the match.
A replay is set to be ordered but the teams meet on April 21 in a League Cup quarter-final.
