WHAT a novel idea from dog walker Tony Jaques (Postbag, March 30). His surprising omission was the provision of dedicated free transport to get his and other pooches to and from their designated areas.
Here is another idea. Public-spirited dog owners (there will certainly be some) in each locality, get together and produce rotas whereby their gardens are made available for dogs to be brought to do their "exercises". After-dark depositors should be specially encouraged to participate.
Get real, Tony Jaques. Non-dog- owning taxpayers in this area are getting round shouldered, not just from the burden of tax but from having constantly to look where they step wherever they walk.
