AN appeal to turn an insurance consultancy in Kidderminster into a restaurant has been dismissed by a Government planning inspector.
Jennifer Vyse upheld a decision by Wyre Forest District Council to refuse planning permission for KL Plester's premises in Paternoster Row, Bewdley Road, to be turned into a restaurant.
She decided there was insufficient parking to allow the application to be granted.
A car park to the rear of the premises has 24 spaces for use by commercial properties in Paternoster Row and a sheltered housing development.
Members of the council's planning (development control) committee decided it would be insufficient to meet the needs of the restaurant with other firms including a post office and fish and chip shop.
