WEDNESDAY CLUB: Members met on April 4 when Mrs M Boath presided.
After the distribution of birthday cards, two new members were welcomed, Mr and Mrs Goode.
It was nice to see the return of Mr Seddon after his illness.
Mrs Boath thanked members for all the lovely cards and good wishes received on her 80th birthday.
Due to the outbreak of foot and mouth disease a few trips have been put on hold for the time being - one of which was Chatsworth House which has been closed for the duration.
However, the river cruise and afternoon tea will take place on Thursday, June 21 - more details available at next meeting.
Miss Jill Price a very welcome visitor to the club took charge of the programme.
As always her exercises helped to relax our weary bones and everyone enjoyed the fun.
Cakes for tea were donated by: Mrs Innes, Mrs Halford and Mrs Dyde and tea served by Mrs Neal and her helpers.
