THIS is one of the oldest pictures to feature in Memory Lane and dates back to either 1887 or 1889.
The sepia photograph shows office staff from Redditch fishing tackle manufacturer S Allcock and Co in Clive Road.
Forty years later, Allcocks would advertise itself as the largest fishing tackle manufacturer in the world.
Most of these men's names have faded into history but two can be identified in the middle row: Jesse W Millward and Richard Z Millward (third and fifth from left respectively).
It is known that from 1895 Jesse Millward was a councillor on Redditch Urban District Council but little else is revealed by the picture.
