AN IMPRESSIVE record at high-flying teams will be put to the test as Kidderminster Harriers visit leaders Chesterfield on Saturday.

Jan Molby's men have earned results at many of the better Division Three sides apart from Blackpool and Hartlepool.

And Molby admitted Harriers may just catch the Derbyshire side at the right time with a FA/Football League decision due today on allegations of financial irregularities.

Chesterfield's consistency has been affected with no wins in four games after threats of a points deduction, if found guilty, to dash their promotion hopes.

Meanwhile, Harriers failed to build on their win over Shrewsbury when they lost 1-0 at Macclesfield on Saturday.

Manager Molby said: "They have lost just four league games. Whatever problems they are having, I would gladly be where they are in the table.

"But we have gone away to get results at places like Cardiff, Brighton, Leyton Orient and Rochdale - a lot of the teams around the top.

"That's great, though not so good if you cannot lift yourself to go to Macclesfield and Carlisle. But it's as good a time as there has been to play Chesterfield."

The season appears to have fizzled out for Kidderminster, who entertain Plymouth on Monday (3pm), but Molby still has a burning desire to see his team succeed.

He declared: "First and foremost, I would like to pass the 50-point mark. Not for the fear of anything but just that it would be nice.

"Then we are playing teams like Plymouth, Chesterfield, Hartlepool and Cheltenham who all have something to play for. We owe it to the rest to do our best and prove we can do it against the better teams.

"The expectations won't be particularly high for Saturday and we will give it our best shot. We won't go to defend.

"We are not going with one up-front that's for sure. While Rochdale didn't have the players to come through us, Chesterfield are better.

"They have experienced players in a number of positions and a good front-two of Luke Beckett and David Reeves.

"Though it's been a while since they kept a clean sheet, we haven't scored many."

With Drewe Broughton joining Scott Stamps on the banned list, it will be a chance for another striker to prove himself.

Molby has revealed forward Andy Corbett and teenage midfielder Ben Davies are set to be in his plans next season.

He added: "I don't know how far they can go but they are good enough to be part of our squad."

Meanwhile, the game at Cheltenham Town on Saturday, April 21, has been declared all-ticket.
