Worcestershire Woods car boot sale is to remain closed due to the foot-and-mouth outbreak.
The decision was made following a risk assessment, which was carried out by ADAS, a consultancy which was formally part of the Ministry of Agriculture.
"The car boot sale attracts a large number of additional visitors, many of whom come from much further afield. Indeed, we know that a significant number come from rural areas." said Andy Maginnis, Worcestershire County Council's countryside sites manager.
Most of the woods have remained open but the decision to suspend the car boot sale was mainly due to a case of foot and mouth confirmed in Tibberton.
Worcester Woods Country Park, caf and visitor centre is open seven days a week.
