A FORMER nurse swore at Ronkswood Hospital staff after she was rushed to casualty drunk, with stomach pains.
Droitwich magistrates heard Erica Kelly was in the hospital toilets with a nurse when she first became abusive.
Prosecutor Liz Tweed said Kelly shouted and swore that she was unwell and could not walk.
"The nurse in the toilets was trying to help but the defendant was clearly drunk," said Miss Tweed.
"They tried to get her into a wheelchair but she kept swearing. The police were called and the defendant was warned about her behaviour.
"She fell unconscious so they put her in a wheelchair and she was moved into the police van. When she came round she continued being abusive."
The following day, the 30-year-old was seen by a police officer in Angel Street.
She had pushed her lodger into a doorway, alleging he had upset her.
"She swore at the police officers and was arrested," she said.
"When she got to the police station she lunged towards a female police officer causing the officer's arm to hit a wall."
Kelly, of Gamekeepers Drive, Brickfields, Worcester, admitted being drunk and disorderly at Ronkswood Hospital on Saturday, April 7.
She also admitted being drunk and disorderly the following day, as well as assaulting a police officer.
Anne Brain, defending, said before arriving at Ronkswood, Kelly had been in a nightclub with friends.
"Someone called an ambulance because she had stomach pains," said Mrs Brain. "She can't remember much about what happened but she accepts what's been said.
"The next day she was in town and had been drinking. She has had problems with her lodger who has now moved out.
"She's suffered a recurrence of depression and has been treated for her addiction to alcohol. Since then she has improved a great deal.
"She apologises to the court for her behaviour. She hopes to go back to college."
The case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports. She will re-appear at Droitwich Magistrates Court on Friday, May 25. She was granted unconditional bail.
