THE King's School, Worcester, is continuing to hold its own in Young Enterprise events when one of its companies won first prize at a trade fair.
Bag-It saw off the competition at Stratford-upon-Avon, winning the Lower Sixth Form students behind the enterprise £300. Half this amount has been allocated for the school.
Companies from across Europe were at the event.
The 20 students running Bag-It have produced a strap-like device so people can carry batches of plastic shopping bags without the material cutting into their hands.
The Second Master at King's, Tim Hickson, said the win followed success at a trade fair in Worcester's Guildhall.
"The students' next step is to write a report and make a presentation," he said. "They will face an appraisal by local companies."
If the team from King's passes muster, the young entrepreneurs will aim for success at regional, national and continental levels.
